Position Overview

We are currently looking for a skilled AWS SysOps & Database Manager to help deliver a robust and intuitive software product with Windows/Linux/Web/Mobile components using container-based deployed backend services. Your duties will primarily involve assessing, monitoring, building, optimizing and securing AWS environments and Mongo databases to ensure performance, reliability, redundancy and disaster recovery for large scale deployments.

We’re looking for a responsible, self-motivated individual with strong communications skills that can work in a team environment. Feenics is an established company built by industry veterans with a wide customer base in Canada and the United States. To be successful in this role, you be AWS Certified and have a few years of experience in most all of the following, as well as the desire to learn and develop new skills. Amazon Web Services: understand Fargate tasks, networking, monitoring & reporting, deployment & provisioning, high availability, data management and security & compliance. Understand and manage Virtual Private Cloud and subnets and communication channels. Mongo DB management: Understand queries, indexing strategies, aggregation, performance, back-up. Experience with Mongo Cloud Manager. We are a small team so experience with any of the following is also a benefit. C#, RESTful API, Hardware drivers, Linux is a plus. You will be working on crucial projects for the company’s expansion.
